Did you know, that the average human burns more calories SLEEPING than watching TV? No matter how many episodes you binge watch of Stranger Things, catching some Z's is a better way to burn more calories. The average adult burns 552 to 688 calories while sleeping for a full eight hours. A person of roughly the same size only burned roughly 488 calories while watching TV also for eight hours. To put this into perspective, sprinting burns 400-500 calories (dependent on the weight of the person) per thirty minutes. In eight hours that's roughly 3600 calories burned. In conclusion, if your looking to drop a few pounds, running is still the way to go.
